There are about 20 million new STIs in the United States each year and young people, between the ages of 15 and 24 account for half of all new STDs. In 2012, gonorrhea rates were highest among adolescents and young adults with the highest rates among women aged 20-24 years and 15–19 years. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that there are more than 110 million STIs among men and women in the US. This includes both new and existing infections.
No matter which decision you make, it will affect the rest of your life. Depending on how far along you are in your pregnancy, abortion may not be just a simple procedure. If you are considering abortion, we can offer you a factual, medically accurate education on each type of procedure. Prior to having an abortion, it is critical to know how long you have been pregnant and to have the viability of your pregnancy confirmed. As with any medical or surgical procedure, finding out how it is done, the risks, and the side effects is important. Take the time you need to be fully informed before you decide.
Hope does not offer abortion services or abortion referrals.
